Oil on board depicting Hibernia Wharf with Southwark Cathedral behind it.To the left is Glaziers Hall , which still stands today. This is a wonderful piece of London history and Howard at his early best!
This work was completed in the early 1960’s and comes from the private collection of the family who purchased Ken Howard’s house in Hampton Hill , London. They bought the house in the early 1970’s when the artist went off to Northern Ireland as the official war artist, and also purchased a number of paintings .
