Sherree Valentine Daines gained a degree in Fine Art from Epsom Art College. It was here that she first met Mark Rowbotham but after leaving college they both went their separate ways. It was some ten years after leaving college that they met again and soon married and moved into the lovely 18th century home where they still live today.
Sherree Valentine Daines and Mark Rowbotham make up the UK’s leading contemporary figurative artist teams. This husband and wife partnership have been responsible for the production of stunning and best-selling illustrative work between them down the years and pride themselves on their impressionist blend of pastel, oils and watercolour compositions.
Valentine Daines has long been inspired by the works of Degas as well as the wider Impressionist movement, which tells heavily in her own brand of illustrative art. Sherree Valentine Daines has been at the forefront of British art for over 30 years and has been described as ‘the face of modern British impressionism’. Her exquisite paintings have been exhibited at such prestigious venues as the Tate Gallery.
She has become a favourite with many celebrity collectors including members of the British Royal Family , politicians and famous names in the world of show-business and sport have sat for her including Joanna Lumley, Sebastian Coe and Jonny Wilkinson.
