Large watercolour of the artists father , we have had other works of his father and although there has been speculation about the subject in the past we are now happy it is his father in this painting .
52 x 31cm (total framed size is 72 x 51 cm ) presented in perfect condition , framed and ready to hang.
Provenance .
This work was purchased by the current Suffolk based collector from the Wildlife gallery sale of the artists work and was number 64 in the catalogue. It retains its labels verso which also identifies the sitter to be Beckers father. There is another work of the same dimensions painted at the same time by Becker depicting his daughter . The palette, size and family members age all tie in to this being his father. Other experts on the artists work also agree.
